Established in 2003 as a studio project between Founding member
Scott Rose and Producer Ben Schigel, Rikets started out as simply
recording idea's and eventually manifested into a full blown
project that had spawned it's first record deal before even
playing a live show.
The Project was signed by Thomas Haezart media mogul and
president of (corporate punishment records and also the person
responsible for signing bands such as Chimaira, Switched,
Nonpoint to name a few) to corporate punishment records.
The Band furiously released two
separate versions of the
critically acclaimed album "Anything for the devil"(produced by
Scott Rose and Ben Schigel, Mixed by Logan Mader) thru corporate
punishment/navarre records and hit the tour trail immediately
coast to coast seeing festival and tour dates with bands such as
, Korn, Seether, Breaking Benjamin , Nothingface, Flylea", to
name a few....The band's first single "Useless" went on to debut
in active rock radio at number 35, beating out heavy metal and
rock heavy weights such as "Coheed and Cambria" and "Soulfy" in
spins and playlist additions.
With the dissolution of their previous label home the band has
continued its grass roots approach regardless and continued to
tour all the way thru the end of 2008..coast to coast...independently.
The band is now poised with a dedicated international fan
base, respect from its peer's and its own "Name Brand" due to the
bands modo "TAKE IT TO THE STREETS",and armed with a new
blistering release to be released in spring of 09 as well as a
new label home..RIKETS is a band thats here to stay and has
definitely carved its "niche" in the world of heavy music.
This reissue of the album that started it all has been remixed
and re-mastered and is just as ear pounding the first two time's
around. Rick Florino.
